The Challenge
Promoting a live event means building awareness quickly while also giving potential attendees a reason to learn more.
The campaign needed to reach local audiences repeatedly across different digital environments while driving traffic back to the event website.
The Strategy
Video-First Social Advertising
Performance Digital used video creative on Meta to capture attention and generate interest in the event.
That proved to be the strongest creative format in the campaign.
The primary video ad generated 32,800 impressions, 4,714 engagement clicks and 3,309 website clicks, accounting for nearly all website traffic generated by the Meta campaign.
Supporting Static Creative
Static ads promoting VIP opportunities and charitable elements of the event provided additional messaging throughout the campaign.
While these ads generated a smaller share of engagement, they gave the campaign additional creative angles for reaching prospective attendees.
Display + Connected TV
Programmatic display extended campaign visibility across websites and devices, generating 58,700 impressions. Display also recorded 140 users who saw an ad and later visited the landing page, showing that campaign influence extended beyond immediate clicks.
Connected TV added another awareness layer, delivering 27,500 impressions and reaching approximately 24,400 people. Omaha represented the largest share of CTV impressions.
The Results
Meta advertising produced the strongest direct-response performance, generating 3,316 website clicks from 33,200 impressions for a 9.99% website click-through rate. The campaign also recorded 4,730 total engagement clicks.
The clearest creative takeaway was the performance of video. The main video ad generated 3,309 of the campaign's 3,316 Meta website clicks, demonstrating how compelling event footage can help turn social media attention into action.
Why the Campaign Worked
Video gave audiences a reason to stop scrolling. For an entertainment event, showing the experience proved far more effective than relying exclusively on static promotional graphics.
Multiple channels expanded reach. Meta drove engagement and website traffic while display and Connected TV helped reinforce awareness across additional screens.
The campaign reached the core local market. Omaha generated the majority of both display clicks and CTV impressions, keeping the campaign concentrated around audiences most relevant to the event.
